Ex-Mayor Michael Bloomberg: Prosecute Edward Snowden

Mark former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg down in the #Traitor camp.

In an exclusive interview with “Meet the Press” host David Gregory, Bloomberg said NSA leaker Edward Snowden should be prosecuted for releasing classified documents, calling the data dump a dangerous move in a dangerous world.

Bloomberg was weighing in on revelations from Snowden’s exclusive interview with “NBC Nightly News” anchor Brian Williams, which aired this week. Bloomberg’s interview will air on NBC's "Meet the Press" Sunday.

I thought NBC was trying to boost Gregory's ratings. Seems more like trying to put the last nail in the ratings coffin so they can finally replace the dufus.

The only way to boost his ratings is to dump him once and for all.

He's everything annoying about Russert, without the hard work or the slickness, yet he lacks Gregory's amiable front.

NBC will never put a leftist in that spot. Then, again all the talk shows are devoid of leftists. We're lucky if they put on the left of the right, let alone the left of the left. Cokie Roberts makes the rounds and she is barely a New Democrat. I remember her shrieking about how Obama was making the wrong move when he went to visit his dying grandmother who raised him. Why?

Because "Here's everyone claiming he's not a real American and what does he do in the middle of his campaign? He goes someplace exotic, for pete's sake. I mean, I know it's part of the United States, but it's exotic."

That's not word for word quote, but it's damn close.

What kind of US political pundit says that about a US state?

In what world is taking a couple days off from your campaign to say your good-byes to the grandmother who raised you some kind of faux pas, even if she were not dying in the US? What would people have thought of him if he had NOT gone to Hawaii. . And why is Hawaii more un American than a state where the law is the French Civil Code and "Laissez les bons temps rouler" is practically the state motto?

Either she was taking a right wing pot shot or she not too savvy. Oh, who am I kidding? It's not either or.

Another one born on third base who looked around and assumed she got there because she hit a triple.

So, that makes him an expert on national security, right?

But, it does make him almost 100% likely to showboat and take a very hard line, unhampered by things like the Bill of Rights.

So, he's a natural choice. Maybe Giuliani had a prior appt. They probably tried to get him first.

Or that oh so Catholic and pious former Mayor who has been divorced more than once and who moved his mistress in to live in the same home with his wife and minor children.

Or that Mayor who was warned that his anti-terrorist attack and post-terrorist attack operations should not be in the World Trade Center because the odds were high in favor of another hit, but left it there nonetheless. It's hysterical people thought that his wandering the area aimlessly after the attack was some kind of bravado. Once he saw how useless his center was, he had no idea what the fuck to do.

And that's before we get to his being told again and again that first responders, like police and firefighters, needed a new communications system because they HAD to be able to talk to each other in a crisis and he was too much of a "fiscal conservative" to agree. But he never stinted on public expenditures for himself. He had a hell of a nerve to make such a show of going to every 911 responder's funeral. I don't imagine he's gone to those who died from the clean up, after his guaranty that the site was 100% safe, though. And some nerve to suggest he should stay on as mayor beyond his elected terms because of 911. And some nerve to hire himself out as an anti-terrorism expert.

There was a reason that the mostly Republican firefighters did not invite Rudy to speak in 2008, when they invited the rest of the Presidential hopeful field to speak to their union.

No, I don't find him funny, even when he dons drag. Maybe especially unfunny when he dons drag.
