They don't deserve any respect. They deserve to be ridiculed and castigated for continuing to cause so much pain, suffering, and death within the LGBT community (even today).

But they expect to be respected for their religious beliefs, and THEY feel persecuted (which is laughable compared to how badly they malign and persecute the LGBT community). Calling them out for their behavior is not persecution.

They really do expect to be respected though. I have known WAY TOO MANY of these people in my life, and I do not oblige them. I give them the respect they deserve in light of how much harm and suffering they cause.
