Barking dogs targeted with poisoned meatballs

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/06/02/dogs-targeted-poisoned-meatballs/9859767/

LONGMONT, Colo. — A family that once received a letter with threats to kill their dogs if they didn't "shut up," discovered three meatballs laced with poison in their front yard.

Tammy Deitz with Longmont Animal Control says meatballs laced with 'd-Con', a common rodent poison, were found at a home Saturday.

Deitz said the meatballs were found tossed in the front yard over a short two-foot fence adjacent to a sidewalk.

The owners of the home have two wirehaired Dachshunds. The family reported one of their dogs brought a plastic bag containing several of the blue-green pellets into the house within the past two weeks.

to catch this killer. Fingerprinting the letter might work too.

Someone was doing this in my neighborhood in Orange County CA back in the 1980s. We never caught them but we didn't have the tools that are available now.

6. healthy, well cared for dogs don't bark incessantly. And incessant dog barking is indeed stressful.

As are babies crying.

It's even stressful for other dogs and animals.

This isn't opinion, it's scientific fact.

And if you have a dog that barks constantly, you are the one with the problem.

just like if someone get's pissed off when I'm playing downloaded banjo music at 3 AM next door on full volume. It's fuckin' banjo music man it's what has to be done.

I wouldn't poison a dog but anyone that can't keep it quiet is an asshole.

We have a neighbor who lets her three terriers out early in the AM- they stand by our backyard and bark at squirrels, kitties, falling leaves-- whatever their little terrier hearts fancy.

We OWN a terrier. We do NOT let her out to bark like that- we know what sends her through the roof (any rodent like critter, other dog- etc)....

Yes, we are annoyed with our neighbor, and we have every right to be.

Maybe Longmont Animal Control should lay off the interviews and start doing some police work.
