Anyone here uses AT&T for long distance with landline?

Yes, I know, I am a dinosaur. Still, landline is fine for us and AT&T is the only one - I think - for long distance and occasional international calls.

For the last 7 years, or so, we have been getting invoices and paying online.

But now I am getting a message that the site is "not trusted." I have been on the phone now for almost 30 min and finally hung up. They have "many calls" today.

Will wait for tomorrow but wondering whether others have experienced it.

Safari tell me that it cannot verify the identity of the site, that "the certificate for this site is invalid."

Firefox tells me that this connection is "untrusted." That it cannot confirm that the connection is secure.

Oh, and I am getting to myATT Login page either through my bookmark or from the ATT page. Getting the same results.

Anyone?

Thanks

They probably accidentally let their security certificate expire.

Probably fixed later today.

One has to wonder, though, about supposedly a tech savvy company to let this happen.

Someone in the IT department didn't renew the certificate, associated the wrong one for that address, or else updated the way the site works and didn't take into account a different source URL.

Wait a bit.

I've never had service from Ma Bell just Verizon or my local telco. I'd suggest you find a LD provider. I have a good one based in NJ with good rates but I've also got VOIP service.

but sometimes I click out and try again and then I don't get the message. I hate the stupid Yahoo email!

I haven't had it happen to my ATT login page for bill paying yet.

When the temp. drops to -30, as happened in the last two winters, I lose cable. So cable phone is out of the question.

Although I have an Iphone now, I have kept my land line number, so many people know it, and I do use it as my DSL line too (although I am not happy with the speed of DSL anymore). The fact that you are getting the error at AT&T has nothing to do with the land line. I was getting the same certificate error when I signed on to my bank for a while, but the techies there finally got it fixed

you have to select between landline and some other options.

Comcast is trying to sell me their phone. Not when I lose cable connection when the temp. drop to -30, as have happened in the last two winters.
