Now the Feds are stopping and searching small plane pilots in the US.

This is really important.....

Police are stopping cars on our highways
Border agents are stopping and searching cars many miles from the border they are supposed to be guarding.
Small US boats are being stopped by the Coast guard.
and now, small airplanes flying entirely in the US are being stopped on landing and searched.

The pilots’ association, which represents more than 350,000 pilots and plane owners, says it has collected more than 50 cases in which members _ despite never crossing a U.S. border _ were searched by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents or local law enforcement “without probable cause or reasonable suspicion of illegal activity.”
None of the flights in which planes were searched crossed any borders, Mead said. He said that much like drivers on the nation’s highways, pilots should not have to worry about having gun-toting agents tapping on their plane windows asking to search their plane.

but. All this started after 911 and taking our shoes off etc. but I wonder if they are looking for something, especially the small plane operators.

The private airplane pilots association has been on their case over this shit. Searching planes that haven't even left the US on suspicion of drug smuggling. And the local cops getting thuggish with the pilots.

This came into the open last year, and now Customs and Border Patrol is saying they will back off.
