New Yorkers to Barack Obama: You’ll love it

Some prominent New Yorkers have advice for President Barack Obama should he choose to make the Big Apple his home upon leaving office in 2017: Take the subway.

“It’s a great city. You’ll love it here. But let’s get some disclosure out of the way up front. You haven’t even come close to experiencing traffic in New York,” said Pat Kiernan, Time Warner Cable News NY1 anchor. “The trip from JFK on Friday afternoon isn’t nine minutes via helicopter. Off topic note: Kiernan also has an afternoon radio show on 77 WABC, the former flagship station of Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. (WABC replaced Rush with local hosts Curtis Sliwa & Ron Kuby at the beginning of the year, and Kiernan's show is in the 3rd hour of the former Hannity afternoon drive slot.) Just an off-topic observation...WABC hired a guy who ENCOURAGED Obama to move to NYC? Haha.

Michelle and her mother still have ties to Chicago. Of course Sasha will still have 3 more years at Sidwell, so they may stay in DC for a little while longer.
