A Billion for MIlitary Presence in Europe? No, Thank You.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/06/03/obama-in-europe_n_5436146.html
I hate this so many ways that I don't know where to start..
We should spend a Billion on Europe's defense?
We should increase military presence in Europe? Where? In Switzerland? Scandinavia?
We should propose to get involved in more military presence than we already have? Anywhere?

If we have a billion lying around, I'm sure there are projects here that could use it.

Enough!

There are individuals who could fund that themselves, and not even need to cancel their club memberships.

But is isn't really about defending Europe. They can defend themselves.

It's about projecting U.S. power to Putin's doorstep.

I don't want my country to be the world's policeman. I just want us strong enough to defend ourselves and our vital interests. We could probably do that on half of what we are spending now.
