Question for our republican lurkers:

If we were to give Bergdahl back to the Taliban, could we follow that up with giving McCain back to the North Vietnamese?

I mean, we spent a lot of time and money and effort getting Sgt. Bergdahl back, only to find out that he didn't deserve it or wasn't worth it, according to Republican standards. If you could go through the active duty military list and let us all know ahead of time who we should try to get back if they're captured or killed, we could make this whole process a lot more efficient.

I'm sure our men and women in uniform, and their families, would appreciate knowing whether a bunch of political opportunists and cynical chickenhawks thought their military service was good enough for the Republicans.

Shit, this reminds me of Stalin's Soviet Union during World War II, where captured and wounded soldiers were deemed unfit to return to the Motherland because they failed to give their lives in its defense.

forum that caters to republican and Democratic views. DU is for Democratic or progressive views

Perhaps you are trying to entrap them. I come to DU to exchange views with fellow Democrats and Progressives, not republicans or conservatives
