If you used the 'peeler' outside it, would solve the messiness issue as well.

I HATE cleaning, so I do what I can to avoid making messes.

we went up to Eureka Springs Ark a few weeks ago and it was pretty neat watching a gentleman sculpt tree trunks using chain saws and small hand grinders. No other tools used that I could see.
