The way back machine delivers the LOLs.
by SantaFeMarie:
Michelle Malkin, 7/20/2009:
My prayers are with the family of Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl, the U.S. soldier seen on the Taliban abduction video released this weekend. The Jawa Report has the full clip.
All Americans should hope and pray for his release from jihadi custody.
Sarah Palin in 2009:
"Todd and I are praying for Private First Class Bowe Bergdahl, his family, and all of his fellow soldiers who are putting their lives on the line to defend our freedom and protect democracy abroad, Governor Palin said. The capture of Private Bergdahl and the bombings in Jakarta prove that we have not defeated terrorism, and that radical extremists will stop at nothing to attack Westerners and our ideals."
Kelly Ayotte, January 2014:
This June will mark five years since Bowe Bergdahl was captured by the Taliban. After so long in captivity, DoD must redouble its efforts to find Sergeant Bergdahl and return him safely to his family," Ayotte wrote in a letter this week to Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel.
Oliver North, 2011 Facebook post:
Today, I received from the National League of POW/MIA Families, a "Never Forget Bracelet" emblazoned with the name of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. He was seized on June 30, 2009 in Afghanistan and is being held by the Haqqani Organization - a Taliban afilliated terrorist group - in northwest Pakistan. Sgt Bergdahl and his loved ones here at home deserve our prayers and encouragement until he is rescued or released. That's what we do. We're Americans.
Mitch McConnel and Pat Toomey, April 2014:
no member of the armed forces who is missing in action or captured should be left behind.
...there are many more out there scrubbing their websites at this very moment:

"We traded five top terrorists for a deserter."
I'm shocked since he's usually so well informed.
I'd like to think this revelation would change his mind or dampen his outrage but somehow doubt that will be the case.

(8,646 posts)It's still unreal to me that act as if their words aren't recorded for everyone to see. Mind you, fox news viewers probably have enough denial mechanisms in their brains to deny those things were said even when in print in front of their eyes.

(27,137 posts)...at a given moment, I am told will determine what your brain ''sees.'' The left-side (masculine) is analytical, logical and believes in right-angles, squares and straight lines in getting to the root of things. It is assertive and thus in the train pics is seen thrusting into the tunnel.
The right-side of the brain (feminine) conceives and projects in wholes. It follows the curves and the form rather than the function. Rather than demanding that things conform to its dictates, it goes with the flow. As with jut-jitsu, the right brain uses opposing forces against itself. It is yielding and yet equal in its power and strength. So in the train pic is seen as exiting the tunnel and pulling away.

(18,219 posts)You had to put the twirling lady there this time! That also amazes me.
I suppose that the description you provided is accurate. Each time I see it initially, it is my right brain dominating...logical and analytical is apt for me. Which is why I have a degree in science and work in accounting. Both fit that profile. I just love when I can make the train (or the lady) change directions. Fascinating.

(27,137 posts)The twirling lady's function is in a spiral formation, and we're oriented like her and our brains are used to her clock-like rotation. The train, alternately, is viewed horizontally and for some reason seems easier to manipulate by mentally pushing or pulling it.
But my control of the lady's twirl to the left or right I find, depends upon my frame of mind when first observing her. If I've been reading or viewing technical or concrete-idea specific data, she's always going to the right (male-logical). When I've been listening to music or viewing beautiful art, she twirls to the left (feminine-form/flow).
- That's just me, your mileage may vary.....

Those types know how to tap in to the inner asshole.

(426 posts)and I'll say it again. Bergdahl is just a pawn in the rhetoric machine. It's all about Obama-bashing. While he was a POW crying for his release was their way of saying Obama was doing nothing and didn't care. That doesn't work now so they have to criticize how he went about getting him released. Pitiful. Obvious. Insulting to everyone's intelligence.

(51,907 posts)Many Deal Critics Once Demanded 'Every Effort' Be Made to Free Bergdahl
http://readersupportednews.org/news-section2/318-66/24037-many-deal-critics-once-demanded-every-effort-be-made-to-free-bergdahl
epublicans are almost uniformly criticizing President Obamas decision to swap five Taliban fighters at Guantanamo Bay for the release of U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, the only American held hostage in Afghanistan. But many of the administrations loudest critics have previously demanded that it do more to bring Bergdahl to safety. Since his release, these lawmakers are emphasizing their criticism of Obamas handling of the prisoner exchange while downplaying the successful return of an American servicemember.
In the clearest contradiction, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) told CNNs Anderson Cooper in February that he would be inclined to support an exchange of prisoners for our American fighting man, like the one Taliban officials had offered in 2012. He has since labeled Obamas deal ill-founded and a mistake.
Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) also thinks that the administrations decision to release these five terrorist detainees endangers U.S. national security interests and sets a precedent that could encourage our enemies to capture more Americans. But since 2011, Ayotte has issued multiple press releases and public statements calling on the Obama administration to redouble its efforts to find Bergdahl. She touted a provision in the Senates Fiscal Year 2015 defense authorization bill that presses Pakistan to fully cooperate in the search for SGT Bergdahl and specifically mentioned Bergdahl in her Memorial Day address.
We also must continue to keep Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl, who has been held prisoner by the Taliban for nearly five years, in our thoughts and prayers and I renew my call on the Defense Department to redouble its efforts to find Sergeant Bergdahl and return him safely to his family, she wrote just one week ago.
Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK) the ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee has also said that the U.S. must make every effort to bring this captured soldier home to his family. But appearing on Fox News just days after Bergdahls release, Inhofe criticized the administration for agreeing to free people who have killed Americans, people who are the brain power of Taliban.

(51,907 posts)When news broke of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl's release, several Republicans in Congress digitally offered their heartfelt prayers to Bergdahl's family and words of praise for America reclaiming one of its own. Only, you won't find any of those sentiments anymore online, for such words of prayer and praise have been scrubbed.

(1,363 posts)I recall the Witless Malkin and the Half-Hump Palin saying this. Now, of course, since the President actually did the right thing...you know, never leaving a man behind, they're all over him. Of course, if he were white...things would be toned down. Why don't hackers just shut down Fox Noise Channel every damned day for...a year. By then the old racist mmutton heads that watch it continually will either be dead, or so forgetful that they will have forgotten it even existed.
