YORK, Neb. – Joann Copeland had one request for after her death.

The longtime 911 dispatcher and motorcycle enthusiast said she wanted “one last ride.”

Last Saturday, that request was fulfilled.

Her husband, Sgt. Don Copeland with the York County Sheriff’s Department, explained that she had never even been on a motorcycle until 2011. Her love for riding began after he purchased a motorcycle and she decided to learn to drive the machine through the MSF motorcycle course.

FULL story at link.

Dozens of motorcyclists were escorted out of York by local law enforcement officials Saturday morning as they fulfilled longtime York County dispatcher Joann Copeland’s final wish.
