Keurig Green Mountain Connected to Group Threatening Vermont GMO Suit

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Keurig Green Mountain is a staple of Vermont mornings.

The company is also a member of the Grocery Manufacturers Association, a lobbying group that has come out strongest against Vermont’s GMO law. It is the most likely to sue the state according to GMO advocates in Vermont.

We asked Keurig Green Mountain President and CEO Brian Kelley if his company stands behind the threat of a suit from GMA and FMI, the Food Marketing Institute.

`“I would tell you that with GMA and FMI, which are now combining their efforts in a lot of ways to help us as companies, really understand the facts, really do the best for our company, for our society and that's what we'll do,” Kelley said.

“So I'm not going to comment specifically on it other than to say we'll continue to listen and learn.”
