OMAHA Homeowners across the Heartland woke up on Wednesday expecting damage left behind from Tuesday night’s storms.

Laura Fisher and her husband live near 60th and McKinley. They expected to find downed limbs, instead they found three cows.

“He looked over here and says, ‘What?’ said Fisher. “We’ve had deer out here. We’ve had wild turkeys, but we’ve never had cows!”

Wednesday morning they did. Not only did they have cattle in their backyard, but they didn’t feel like leaving. Fisher told WOWT 6 News that it was a comical sight. Her husband tried to prod the cows to leave, but instead they made their way to the front yard and started eating her bushes.
