Tucker Carlson: We Have To 'Pretend' Boys Are Statutory Rape Victims

CAITLIN MACNEAL – JUNE 5, 2014, 3:29 PM EDT

Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Thursday lamented that Americans are "whiny" about statutory rape and that when it comes to rape, boys are different than girls.

While discussing the recent case in New York, in which a female teacher has been charged with rape for allegedly having sex with a 16-year-old student, Carlson refused to believe that it should be considered rape.

"It's ludicrous that we are calling this a rape. Are you serious?" Carson asked on Fox News' "Outnumbered." "I'll tell you what's wrong to this extent — he went and tattled to the police and destroyed her life. Are you joking? What a whiny country this is."

Carlson went on to explain that underaged boys are not rape victims, especially if they chased after the older woman.

3. How true. I'd like to see consent lowered to 16, personally, since that's when

so many kids are experimenting, ready or not.

However, what he's missing is the balance of power. Teachers fucking students are no different from psychiatrists fucking their patients, bosses fucking their employees, and NCOs fucking their raw recruits. Consent in such cases might not be as freely given as he thinks it is. It's unprofessional at best, illegal at worst.

So yes, he's a total idiot with vile opinions.

I can't stand that guy. For me, this act needs to remain illegal..there is way too much bravado
about how this activity is suppose to be over looked as innocent and leaves no negative impact
on the victim.

12. It is unprofessional, unethical but should not be illegal.

If someone in those positions takes part in that activity they should be dealt with by losing their job or something similar. But the criminal system should not have anything to do with it. If consent is lowered in a particular state to 16 then that is that. No exceptions.

but only when they've had a string of seductions.

Then they set up shop in another state and start over with women who don't know his reputation.

Bosses declare themselves indispensable and fire the women. Sex is only a crime for women, you see.

back in WA state when the Mary Kay Letourneau story was unfolding. She, as a 34 year old schoolteacher (as well as a wife and a mother of four children by that husband) had intercourse with a 12 year old boy who was in her sixth grade class. She got pregnant by him, and was only given a six month jail sentence, three of them were suspended.

While on parole, she hooked up with the same student, and was caught having intercourse with him in her car, and again, was impregnated by him. She only had to serve a subsequent sentence for merely breaking her parole, no additional charges were filed for the second second-degree rape offense, even though the student was only 14 years old at the time.

Now, some people thought this was a sort of "love story", because when the student turned 21, he asked the court to lift a no-contact order, and he subsequently married her. I think it's vile, and I condemn anyone who sanctioned any part of it, from the Washington winery that hosted their reception and the Republicon prosecutor who failed to file a second rape charge.

Interesting that Carlson is still stuck in that kind of mindset. Maybe he sends his kids to school to be sex toys for the staff.
