I've adopted several older cats. There's still lots of life and love in them.

At first the shelter said he was a she. He reminds me of my beloved Ramona, who died last August.

She lived to be 19, and she was a fantastic pet. She also remained spry until just before the end.

My cats typically live that long, so you should have many good years with that gorgeous creature if you are lucky.

His eyes look sad. He is probably grieving from the loss of his first owner, the loss of his home, the loss of all that had been familiar to him.
I am sure you will be good to him. Please post some pictures of Curly in a month or so. I'd like to see whether he is getting over his grief.
