2. A miracle they had the self-control to not make an error while taking him into custody.

We hear about that sort of thing happening every now and again, certainly.

That guy giving the statement from the RCMP was so shaken earlier today about the deaths and injuries.

3. Yeah. That press conference was hard to watch. Glad they got him. Now let's not talk

about the perp. Or use his name. Or make him famous.

4. I've been watching breaking news cut-ins all day, and I couldn't name him if I tried.

They've been covering it on TV, certainly, they just aren't going into great detail about his "personality." It's more like reports on local television of a rabid muskrat in the vicinity, or something like that.

Perhaps I'm just a reactionary asshole for saying it, but I have no interest in "studies" of the monster.

I'm just glad that justice will be done.

I think everyone was really worried b/c the guy was a gun nut with a cop hate-on.
Thank god they got him.

On a sad note, one of the RCMPs killed had a 19 month old and a baby on the way. I cried when I heard that. I hope his wife has a lot of support. That's a cop's spouse's worst nightmare (my brother is a cop spouse but thankfully his wife isn't on patrol anymore, she was promoted). 9. It is very sad. Course I'm at an age where he looked just like a kid to me in his wedding photos.

Far too young to have the type of responsibility that could kill you. But it happens a lot. My aunt and uncle lived across the street from the family of a killed police officer. It is so difficult for those families.
