Going on 13 years

In October of 2001, the US, lead by republican Bush, invaded Afghanistan.

Just 10% of the country stood opposed to the ensuing carnage, death and destruction our military crammed down on the people of that far away, mostly innocent people who lived there.

Now it is more like 99% of the citizens of the US who are opposed and want our troops to leave and come home. This has been America's longest war.

Now that we are finally leaving, and as our president brings home the only troop held as a prisoner, the damned warmongers throw their last hissyfit in an attempt to make political hay against the president who was the one who got rid of Osama bin Laden.

I can only hope my fellow citizens see all this as what it truly is: The republicans and their press will do anything, conjure up any lie and produce disunity in our country, in a vain attempt to injure the soul of America once again.

They have had their way going on 13 years now and as their last gasp at war slips thru their hands they complain about our president bringing home a soldier!

What a sordid mess these republicans have made and will continue to make if we keep electing them to offices in DC.

Enough. Let's all make sure this is their last gasp. Let us do away with them once and for all and make them a minor party who can only beg for forgiveness.
