In all but 5 states, however, women are allowed to breastfeed in public and private places. The mishmash of laws results in a lot of confusing outcomes, with some business owners thinking they have the right to tell women they must cover themselves when they breastfeed.

http://www.ncsl.org/research/health/breastfeeding-state-laws.aspx

Twenty-eight states, the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands exempt breastfeeding from public indecency laws. (Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.)

45 States allow for Breastfeeding in any Public and Private location. 28 States exempt breastfeeding from public indecency laws, I would assume this counts for all 45 states since it's legal in them they just don't have an additional unneeded law.

where business owners and managers inform legally breastfeeding women that they are required to do their breastfeeding under a blanket or other cover.

So it's not really an unneeded law.

Also, there were 5 states where women did not have a legally protected right to breastfeed.

There are another 4 states that you need a license to open carry and they are never issued to civilians. For the original poster to complain that you can open carry but can't breastfeed in the US is just not true.

No doubt if the word 'Reagan is a God' was tattoo'd on said breasts, it would be considered a Constitutional free speech right.

The tattoo would have to have "jesus" on the left and a picture of St. Ronnie of Reagan on the right - both featuring tiny copyright marks and itty-bitty GOP logos....THEN it would be "speech"

Nurturing the next generation? CRIMINAL

Carrying loaded instruments of death and destruction where the next generation is out and about? REASONABLE

Nipples are dangerous stimulants for male excess. Men are infantile and cannot control their urges. The baby can wait until it is safe.

But guns keep you safe, and belong everywhere.
