I watched it and thought that Bill did a great job of ripping him a new ass hole. I do not know about you but by having somebody on your show does not give them credibility, it can expose them as the fake that they are.

I want people younger than me to fight the good fight, but did you see the thread about how dumb America is now?

look at this

http://www.alternet.org/education/results-are-america-dumb-and-road-getting-dumber

This week, Gallup released a poll showing 42 percent of Americans still believe God created human beings in their present form less than 10,000 years ago. Last week, the Carsey Institute at the University of New Hampshire published a study showing only 28 percent of Tea Party Republicans trust scientists.

It gets worse. More than two-thirds of Americans, according to surveys conducted for the National Science Foundation, are unable to identify DNA as the key to heredity. Nine out of 10 don’t understand radiation and what it can do the human body, while one in five adult Americans believe the sun revolves around the earth.

The numbers are all over the place. 42% of Americans believe in Creationism yet the number of people who believe in Evolution has doubled since 1999? In the same poll? And frankly I can't find 5 people that believe the Sun revolves around the earth. Let alone 1 in 5.

If you download the actual survey methodology it shows you the questions they asked, the possible answers and the replies. Now ignoring the fact that the Q&A basically make this a push poll, if you read the actual results, not the graphs they created, you will see that the number of people who believe in Creationism is actually dropping at a rapid rate.

Americans aren't as stupid as we think. It's just that the stupid ones are the loudest.

The guy is as phoney as a three dollar bill. That includes his phoney "Christianity." He'll also go anywhere for the attention, even to Maher's show. Part of me hates that Bill lets crooks like Reed and his ilk on the show. But, he does us all a favor in having them there. It reminds us that these dirtbags are still around so we don't forget just how awful they are, and that they're still not in prison where they belong. Rather, they're back at at it, and people need to stay vigilant in trying to fight them.

But Reed implies that social security and medicare are responsible for this deficit.

See where his mind is at? He is a mainstream lying Republican that could care less about the welfare of human beings unless they are affiliated with Halliburton or KB&R. The goal is to get FICA contributions into the hands of Wall Street investors (criminal) so they can double and triple game the system. See, there is nothing holy about Reed. He is a modern day snake oil salesman.

As for what Maher's more socially conservative guests typically have in store, at best he approaches them as a devil's advocate. At worst, for them anyway, he has an ability to strip them naked of any self-righteous pretense or decency, and they often walk off not knowing what hit them. I wish there had been more time to cover a range of other topics. For example, Reed's long-standing apologetic stance on applying tried-and-untrue trickle down economics as a means to combat poverty, in direct contrast to what Christ instructed his followers to do. Ralph Reed is possibly the best (or worst) example of someone using religion and social wedge issues to drive an economic agenda.

Make conservatives like Reed defend their beliefs and opinions against cold, hard facts. That is the thing I most like about Real Time -- it gives equal opportunity to all. If I want an echo chamber (and I see that term has been confusing, why I don't know) I'll watch Fox where beliefs and opinions go unchallenged and debate is meaningless.

If it gets your blood pressure up, don't watch it. Simple as that.

hypocrite he is.

Once they got to the "literal interpretation of the bible" Maher beat him senseless, Reed was left stammering about the "New Testament".

I watch Maher weekly. Sometimes he's great and sometimes he's an ass. But he is never better then when he's going after religion.
