John Kerry says what I have been thinking.

Until I heard it from his mouth, I didn't have the nerve to voice it, but I was ready to use it on some right winger if they started on me.

I was prepared to tell any wingnut who started in with me on Bergdahl that there was no way we could execute those five terrorists while they were being held at Gitmo. But if they do go back into terroristic acts, they could end up dead.

John Kerry's comment:

Secretary of State John Kerry said on Sunday that he felt confident the five Taliban detainees freed in a swap for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl posed little risk to Americans, adding that Qatari officials were not the only ones monitoring them — and that while the five might be able to return to the battlefield, “they also have the ability to get killed doing that.”

I know, it seems to be a rather extreme opinion (hence my reluctance to put it into words), but that is what I have been thinking since the prisoner swap first occurred. It may be that I was on the right track.

Maybe some other covert ops tool wherein they will send out data about the Taliban. Tracking can facilitate a target attack if needed.

It didn't occur to me, but it is possible. I can't say that I would be upset to hear about something like that.
