Bergdahl trade - something to consider

How many of the five Taliban traded for Bowe Bergdahl will be alive 2-3 years from now? The government couldn't eliminate them in Gitmo; there would have been a PR nightmare. Release them and all of a sudden they are exposed for elimination. I imagine there will be horrible accidents; a couple apparent "suicides"; perhaps one standing a little too close to a drone strike.

I know that many would love to believe that this administration is weak and naive; but history has proven otherwise - repeatedly. This president and his team have as much spine and tactical skills as the previous administration; they're just more intelligent in their actions, and guarded in how they deploy American resources.

No one should believe that this administration is not identifying and eliminating threats. The elimination of terror threats has moved to back alleys and off the front pages - where it should have been from the beginning. Invading other countries was absolutely fool hardy.

Withdrawl of ground forces from Afghanistan is not going to materially change the aerial capabilities we employ there.

When the trade was announced, there was a small narrative of each of the Taliban members who were released. It said something about the "information" they gave up while at Gitmo. The Taliban won't take to kindly to this.
