Killing people who take up arms to fight for it is an entirely reasonable and laudable goal.
Killing people who are entirely or mostly innocent, but are standing near members of the Taliban, or mistaken for them, is a very bad thing indeed.
Drone strikes appear (although I am not an expert and may be wrong about this) to kill more civilians per target than other weaponry, making them a bad way to wage war.
