I doubt it.
Why do so many people assume Hillary as President would be a clone of Bill?

(130,773 posts)this is one of those memes that bugs me now, and always has.
I posted recently to this effect: I'm an attorney, my husband, father, and cousin were attorneys, my brother's an attorney, and we DO OUR JOBS. (Andrea Mitchell's another, assuming she's a 'clone' of that guy she married - for reasons beyond my understanding!!!)

(23,664 posts)It's naive to believe that Bill Clinton would not be more involved with the policy aspects of a Hillary Clinton presidency than any other presidential spouse has ever been.
Of course he'll try to stick his nose in. He had the job for eight years and he thinks he's smarter than everybody else to begin with. There's no way he's not going to be involved. Of course she doesn't have to listen, but he won't give up without a fight.
If Hillary hires enough interns to keep him occupied, she might be able to get something done without him telling her how to do everything.

(52,126 posts)and of course, bill clinton wouldn't be bill clinton today, either. that is, if he were to get a third term (not gonna happen, of course), he would be a rather different president than he was in his first two terms. he's learned a lot, and the times have changed. i actually think he'd be remarkably effective. the combative skills he learned in his second term would be most useful against today's republicans.
in any event, of course, hillary is her own person with her own skills and flaws and she would have to make her own decisions. that said, the clintons have always been a team, and have mostly seemed on the same page -- mostly. so i wouldn't expect radical policy differences simply because it's hillary and not bill with the title. some differences will emerge because she has different priorities, but i suspect that most of the differences would be better attributed to the changing times.

They have been trying to hang Bill (One of the most successful presidents in history) around her neck since he left office.
