I am so sad for kids who have to worry about stuff like this.. When I was in high school we were all so silly/goofy the last week of school..never had a thought about anything violent happening..

A story that a robot was sent in to a bathroom nearby where the shooter was. Talking to a student on TV now. Shooter is confirmed dead.

Student heard four shots that sounded like fireworks. Scenes of everybody walking around building with their hands up as they are evacuating a building. A meeting at 9:45 coming up soon.

This is getting too damn personal. My sister lives a few miles away from the high school where one of the victims of the UCSB shooting a week ago or so went to high school.

Damn, today we had a local platform committee meeting scheduled for tonight. We had one an hour or so after the Clackamas shooting a while back too.

Now there is a twitter report that a teacher might have been shot that's not been confirmed.

I guess print media is just running with whatever.

The kid and a whole bunch of kids all went in to a weight room and locked the door and hid.

One of the people interviewed who talked to her child in the school referred to the victim as "he"...

"Grazed" was the word they actually used.

I think it was the male gym teacher that was "grazed"...

Regardless, the age of the targets or the existence of a hit song don't change anything. Whitman was national news. For over an hour he terrorized a campus. The nation was aware of this as it was happening.

I don't know what would possess you or anyone else to say "the first modern school shooting was done by a female."

This is going off of local news here that has stated no one has been transferred using the life flight.

This is NORMAL in America. Kids have to worry about being shot at. Of course, it's like this every day in many urban areas thanks to the Drug "War" and lack of jobs. Now, it's spread to EVERYWHERE.

It's being reported that on the pat down of the students several turned up guns and they were not related to the shooter, most likely gang related.

I didn't know.

Yeah Troutdale, Gresham, Hillsboro have some Gang problems.

and the area looks typical. Do you live in that area? Confirm WHY probably gang related.

And as one poster commented on another site (I can't take credit for this one): another day for the gundamentalists to tell us how guns don't kill people, people do.

They're not even giving us breathing space between them anymore.
