Cop Killer Jerad Miller’s Facebook ‘Likes’ In One Giant Right-Wing Graphic

by Shayne Black
June 9, 2014

Now that Jerad and Amanda Miller have been identified as the two perpetrators who gunned down two Las Vegas police officers along with a third victim in a Walmart before taking their own lives, a pretty vivid picture is emerging of who these two people were and what motivated them to carry out such a heinous act.

-snip-

One thing is abundantly clear about the Millers: they were deeply consumed by the right-wing patriot, Tea-Party, “constitutionalist,” 2nd-Amendment, ‘take back America’ movement, and they carried all of that extreme rhetoric to its logical conclusion. With all the activity and anti-government sentiment being churned up by movements and events like the Bundy Ranch, Operation American Spring, and Open Carry marches, it was only a matter of time before someone boiled over.

Must have hit the "like" button by mistake, because Palast would grind Mr. Miller's stupid political philosophy into the finest dust.

Thank you for this. I was considering getting a screen grab of Miller's likes page. Glad someone got to it.

Which calls them daily to:

Don't work toward a civilian review board when there are problems, don't elect mayors to call LEOs to account.

Cut funding for all alternatives to calling the police. Because it's all evil, not to be touched and dealt with democratically. The Pauls, Beck, Jones and the rest all tell to fight!

Which only leads to one result:

Arm yourself and play patriot and revolutionary, and keep on pointing the blame instead of working for peaceful solutions and a civil society.

Demagogues are cult leaders:

This country is full of cults who are immune to debate and true discussion of the issues. They span all demographics.

And another thing:

Those who think that this kind of thing is a function of older Americans are whistling past the graveyard. The Millers and most in real life, are not as media portrays many spewing this stuff, aging, hapless or with no means of support. Most I've met are young fundies and Libertarians and they can be very disruptive in public and hostile to any other views.

In another time, they'd be called hippies with a back to nature bent that appeals deeply to most of us, myself included. There was a part of that which rejected government as the Vietnam War dragged on and other revelations came out. Being aware is always a good thing but acting constructively is even better.

But some are indoctrinated by the far right to hate all kinds of societal institutions, unions, schools, education, science, public workers of all kinds, in literal fear for their lives. One must use their buzzwords to talk to them, quoting scripture to believers or mock believers for others, to see that light in their eyes, that you *know* their 'truth' and are a 'believer.'

Some won't get to the point this couple did. They seemed as if they had a lot to live for and were not being deprived of anything, in the photos below:

http://www.mediaite.com/online/vegas-shooters-facebook-pages-reveal-support-of-bundy-ranch-gun-rights/#2

This is what happens from letting any media, from films, television, radio and online with all those memes including the very addictive alternative 'Truth©' media, think for you, draw you to their conclusions and fill your heart with fear and despair by giving you nothing but fear, uncertainly and doubt beyond what's needed.

They can convince one to identify with a movement that says it's worth killing yourself and others just like any cult. There is a lot of energy coming from all of this,

Thanks, napkinz! As usual, you bring some of the very best visuals to DU.

See, radical RW libertarian nutcases like the Millers, the Drs Paul & Ed Snowden all want a federal govt small enough to drown in a bathtub - not to keep & protect you individual Constitutional & civil rights, but to make it SO much easier for corporations to enslave you without any interference.

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/jerad-miller-told-al-jazeera-america-im-not-afraid-of-death/

Miller also hinted at frustrations over the NSA surveillance programs exposed by Edward Snowden’s leaks. “We want our rights back,” he said. We want to restore our republic. We don’t want to overthrow the government. We just want the government to be under control. People like me have known they’ve been spying on us for a long time. We didn’t exactly know to the extent.”
