Yes, I will. I've voted for every Democratic presidential candidate since 1968, the first year I could vote for a President. I will continue to do that, because the alternative is unthinkable, as we have seen far too many times since then.
I may well vote for someone else in the primary elections, depending on who declares his or her candidacy after the 2014 mid-term elections. But, after those primaries, I'll be supporting and voting for the candidate selected at the Democratic National Convention.
I AM A DEMOCRAT! I VOTE FOR DEMOCRATS!

(146,262 posts)It seems that there are two threads now with exactly the same title. I just recommended the other one, too. Duplicate threads are OK in DU. Anyone can post another one with the same title, and I'll recommend those, too.

(6,045 posts)Do you think she will run or do you buy into the ole "I think I can do more in the Senate than I can in the Executive" claim. Not an exact quote but she said something close to that. Either way it sounds to me like a lame excuse which means she could be thinking about running. I hope.
billhicks76
(5,082 posts)Some on DU are so insistent she will not run that they repeat it like a mantra. I don't know. Sounds like she isn't but they all say that. Clinton and Nush are the two candidates that have been "chosen" for us by the security/surveillance/war entrenched establishment. I remember when JFK Jr announced intentions to run after denying it for years and his plane went down a week later paving the way for the already decided Iraq War based on a stolen Bush presidency. When Sen. Paul Wellstone did the same thing post 911 indicating he would set a precedent voting against the Iraq War his plane went down. JFK Jr wouldve win on the women vote alone. Wellstone was in his way to the 2004 nomination as a democratic populist. The message is clear to me...if you want to rock the boat regarding foreign policy be very afraid. Wall St and War Contractors have spoken...they want Clinton vs Bush. Of course Warren WANTS to run...she just probably has some serious reservations about dirty tactics used against her or worse. There is too much money at stake and power to be gained by corporations who want to exploit us and they favor Clinton vs Bush.

(6,045 posts)She SCARES ME!! I like her & especially her drive & the fact she will not take any shit from the other side...BUT...
She seems to be tone deaf talking about being broke when many people in the country are truly broke & with no end in sight...Bill & Hillary both knew they were headed for enormous sums of money leaving office so, well, DAMN! What was she thinking? She wasn't & that is what scares me about her!!
SNIPER FIRE!!
I really wish Elizabeth Warren would run but I fear the forces that would rain down on her would be too much to win a general election...But I would LOVE THE CHANCE TO SEE!!!
Just my opinion please don't think I am trying to fight...I will fight for Hillary if she is the nominee just as I would fight for Elizabeth if she was. I just think my brand of politics meshes better with Elizabeth.

(146,262 posts)If people can declare their intent not to vote for the Democratic nominee, I think we can declare our intent, as well.

(12,882 posts)I'd feel stupidly negligent in not casting my votes. And while this admission is NO affirmation of my desires to see HRC as the Dem name on a ballot, I WILL vote for whoever is there with the (D) next to their name - primarily BECAUSE of that (D) and no reason other. My fingers are SEETHING at the prospect of elaborating why I feel like I do, but there's plenty of other threads where they can let it all hang out.

You sound like you would vote for Condi Rice if the democrat nominee were male. Haven't we learned yet that it's about policies and actions not personality or race or gender? We are so easily manipulated as a population. Corporations are laughing at us. They know it's wrong but they see us as so stupid that we must deserve it. Clinton vs Bush again? Republican-Lite vs Republican? Is Republicrat going to be the newest entry in Webster's dictionary? Good grief.

(18,672 posts)That I would gladly vote for every Democrat who has run for office since I have been of voting age over and over again. I have yet to regret it, especially considering the alternative. I will gladly vote for Hillary and believe she is quite a bit above the "lesser of two evils" option.

(4,949 posts)1.) Ted Cruz or the likes is completely out of the question.
2.) Obviously the 1%/RW'ers are solidly fearful of Her so that reinforces my motivation to vote for Her. They will say & do anything to smear Her and divide the masses against Her.
3.) Supreme Court nominees are extremely important.
4.) Sex means something to me and I'd love to see a Lady in the WH!!
5.) I think Hillary is very qualified for the job, is effective in international relations & is respected abroad more so than US Americans realize.

(10,479 posts)certainly will vote for her. I just am not sure she will run. Her age should not be an issue, but the Republicans will try to use that against her. The Republicans will spend every dime they own to fight her. She will be under fire the entire time and the Koch brothers, Bush's brain, and probably every Republican governor in the country will use every crooked scheme they can conjure up to fight her. I feel she is strong enough. She has been on the Republican to do list since before Bill was running for office. However, her biggest enemy will be the television news organizations. I stopped listening to them. When someone is being interviewed on CNN they always have someone in the opposite category to blame them. Sometimes I feel I am watching
first-graders telling on one another. And it never stops! Watching Bones and Castle reruns are much more interesting. And they both catch the bad guys!
