Why is everyone arguing about Hillary?

NONE of us- not one person on DU- has any idea who is running, or who the nominee will even be. What in the world is the point?

If you all can remember back, many people hadn't even heard of Bill Clinton by this point before he ran against Bush.

This is really just navel gazing, and it's weird how mean it's getting-

2. But what is there to argue about?

Surely not a single DEMOCRAT OR LIBERAL OR PROGRESSIVE would vote for a 3rd party candidate at a time when that candidate CANT win but a righty could...

Nobody would do that, right?

THe most liberal person I know on this planet, Dave Marsh, Sirius radio host and former music critic for Rolling Stone and original member of SNCC in the 60's cant stand the Clinton's or Obama's politics, really cant stand them or their politics.

And yet, he, nor I could bring ourselves to vote in such a manner that would allow the alternative to take power

I dont see what is confusing about that, so while I am not easing up, maybe you can explain it to me

4. the situation is different , the fact is Hillary people are raising money and campaigning for her

she had a lot of support already and is leading by huge numbers.

if anyone else is seriously going to challenge her they should do it now. in fact they hsould have started some time ago.

the fact that there is nobody else who is out there says a lot.

so far whatever someone like O'Malley, CUomo and others do is more of a "just in case she doesn't run" type of thing rather than a serious effort to win the nomination and go up against her.

also by this time before the 2008 elections there were groups out there getting support for Obama. so the 2008 comparison is not a good one either as there is nobody who is doing that now.

in fact the earlier the better, so that it's well established when it's needed, i.e. two years from now.

so they seek attention. Negative attention is just as good as positive attention. In fact, perhaps it is better.

So they come to DU and start an OP so you will be aware of their importance???

Perhaps it has something to do with birth order also.
