My OP (thanks!) says only that we should be focused on 2014. And yet, there's NOTHING one can say here at DU that isn't denigrated, misinterpreted, or just yelled at. We have no common goals, we are busy hollering at each other over the election AFTER THE NEXT ELECTION.

The Tea Party are crazy loons, but they work for a common goal. We work for a multiplicity of minor, individual goals that are a 2010 election away, and 2014 looks like it's just another 2010. Anyone arguing about 2016 and/or Hillary is a tea-party fellow traveler.

DU isn't going to win an election, actually getting out an working for the people you want to win will do that. I understand your analogy I just don't agree with it.

My point is that DU can be a tremendous resource in terms of coordinating and organizing 2014. Can we do the Hillary Wars AFTER November 4, 2014? Can we start organizing for specific House/Senate races, and look to getting sneakers on the ground?
