Chris Hayes made an important point about the Las Vegas shooting tonight (at 7 pm).

He played the video of Wayne LaPierre saying that the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.

He pointed out that the two shooters, the two cops and the man at Wal-Mart, all five were dead and all had a gun.

I did not know that the man killed at Wal-Mart had a concealed carry permit and tried to stop the male shooter and was killed by the woman shooter.

So this was a scenario in which all five people were armed and all five died.

That most cops remind me of these violent Tea Baggers. Where I live and it's not the ghetto cops kill unarmed people and dogs all the time and threaten to kill countless others. They are all the same to me.

I guess that makes the cops their bad guys and the Walmart customer as well if he had acted against the shooters.

Is that a strategy? Revolutionaries that shoot themselves after a victory? We might not have all that much to worry about in that case.

I hadn't thought about what he noted... but definitely puts a damper on LaPierre's words.

I can't believe the NRA folks follow a 'Frenchie' like him.... I mean, really. LaPierre?

Ft Hood is a city within a city- 300 sq mi, 50,000 odd residents on any average day, with about as many MPs as a city that size usually has, but concentrated on the borders.

That's why it took outside law enforcement to take down Hasan.

Reagan gave us the Taliban, AQ, cocaine, and supported Saddam, Iran, and Pol Pot

same with "if you don't vote for a Dem who'll cut Social Security, ram through TPP, and start wars you'll get a Republican who'll cut Social Security, ram through TPP, and start wars AND YOU'LL HAVE BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS EEEEEEE"
