Never forget that Cantor started plotting against Obama on Inauguration night 2009

As President Barack Obama was celebrating his inauguration at various balls, top Republican lawmakers and strategists were conjuring up ways to submarine his presidency at a private dinner in Washington.

The event -- which provides a telling revelation for how quickly the post-election climate soured -- serves as the prologue of Robert Draper's much-discussed and heavily-reported new book, "Do Not Ask What Good We Do: Inside the U.S. House of Representatives."

According to Draper, the guest list that night (which was just over 15 people in total) included Republican Reps. Eric Cantor (Va.), Kevin McCarthy (Calif.), Paul Ryan (Wis.), Pete Sessions (Texas), Jeb Hensarling (Texas), Pete Hoekstra (Mich.) and Dan Lungren (Calif.), along with Republican Sens. Jim DeMint (S.C.), Jon Kyl (Ariz.), Tom Coburn (Okla.), John Ensign (Nev.) and Bob Corker (Tenn.). The non-lawmakers present included Newt Gingrich, several years removed from his presidential campaign, and Frank Luntz, the long-time Republican wordsmith. Notably absent were Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) -- who, Draper writes, had an acrimonious relationship with Luntz.

For several hours in the Caucus Room (a high-end D.C. establishment), the book says they plotted out ways to not just win back political power, but to also put the brakes on Obama's legislative platform.

"If you act like you're the minority, you're going to stay in the minority," Draper quotes McCarthy as saying. "We've gotta challenge them on every single bill and challenge them on every single campaign."
----------------------------------------------------
Ensign - gone sex, money and ethics scandal
Coburn - gone - ill health and the FAMILY
Kyl - decided not to run again - was hoping for VP position (Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah)
Cantor - whipped by a Brat
DeMint - gone to Heritage Foundation
Lungren -beaten by Democrat Ami Bera
Hoekstra -beaten by ReTHUG in primary for Governor and then beaten by incumbent Debbie Stabenow

Tens of millions of Americans have been deprived of food, jobs, housing, medical help all in the name of a few pricks hating on Obama but supported by tens of millions of Americans who hate Obama's skin so much they are willing to kill themselves...

I have no love for Brat and think he's even crazier than Cantor is--after all, Cantor is just a company man. Brat seems to be a true believer.

However, Brat will not have Cantor's power, even if he gets elected.

I hope the citizens of that district have an attack of sanity and defeat Brat in the election.

Kevin McCarthy, Pete Sessions, Jeb Hensarling...

Sessions is actively campaigning, McCarthy is said to have Cantor's backing, Hensarling also shows up on lists of possibles.

I guess it's a job requirement.

Multiple suggestions of corruption, including writing letters on behalf of Abramoff's clients, a dubious earmark, ties to Alan Stanford, and a sweetheart loan from Countrywide.

Also a number of racist or otherwise insensitive remarks, including a suggestion that the GOP needed to be more like the Taliban and the one you mentioned:

"In October 2013, it was widely reported that Sessions was the member of the House Republican leadership, who, while in the White House to discuss ending the 2013 federal government shutdown, allegedly remarked to President Barack Obama, 'I can not stand to even look at you.' The White House denied the exchange occurred, but senators and aides making the charge, stood by their account. Sessions' office also denied the comment was made."

and the depth of hatred for Barack Obama is pronounced for it, and by millions of people; but that meeting may have occurred anyway. The depth of hatred the Republicans showed for the Clintons was extreme too. The anti-Democratic party of fascists who call themselves 'Republicans' have gotten crazier and meaner continuously. Really, is there any Democrat they treat with anything approaching respect. We have to remember they usurped power for the eight years previous to Obama's tenure.

Cheney is nearly pure evil, and he speaks everywhere, and he is not rebutted. Their party hovers on treason, criminality, and conspiracy.
