Brat's 23 yr. old campaign manager deleted/privatized his rant filled FB account

Yahoo News' Garance Franke-Ruta notes that Werrell's Facebook profile—which listed his job as "RINO Hunter" since 1991, the year of his birth—underwent major emergency surgery last night to remove some malignant growths:

From comparing George Zimmerman's shooting of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin to abortion to calling for the abolition of the Food and Drug Administration and encouraging the adoption of the silver monetary standard, Zachary Werrell – one of just two paid staffers for the upstart campaign of Randolph-Macon College economics professor [David] Brat – in 2012 and 2013 sought to build a public profile as a socially conservative libertarian voice. The Facebook postings were either taken down or made private overnight Tuesday in the wake of Brat's win, but Yahoo News took screenshots of some of the remarks before they were removed from view. A cached version of Werrell's page remained available on Google as of mid-Wednesday.
Werrell's boss, candidate David Brat, will probably win a congressional seat, which means the young lad will probably get a nice Hill job. Here's a post he deleted that argues pro-choice Americans should be appreciative of George Zimmerman killing a black teenager:

The Virginia politico also endorsed secession—of counties and cities—before thinking better of this post and trying to send it down the memory hole:

Werrell's Facebook page is down now, his blog ("Zachary Werrell .com - Life. Liberty. Prosperity.&quot is in "maintenance mode," and he's not answering any questions about them. But if you'd like to read more of his thoughts on Marx and "Statist Propaganda," here's his Twitter and a cache of his FB.

Maine Republican regrets saying men should rape women if abortion is legal

A Republican state lawmaker from Maine says he regrets making decades worth of offensive comments about gays, rape, and abortion that were compiled recently by a liberal activist.

Blogger Mike Tipping dug up several offensive comments made by state Rep. Lawrence Lockman (R-Amherst) from old news reports he posted on the Bangor Daily News website, which has spurred Democratic calls for the lawmaker’s resignation.

In one of the quotes posted on the blog, Lockman falsely suggested HIV and AIDS could be spread by bed sheets and mosquitos, and he also said the progressive movement helped spread the virus by claiming “the practice of sodomy is a legitimate alternative lifestyle, rather than a perverted and depraved crime against humanity...”

“If a woman has (the right to an abortion), why shouldn’t a man be free to use his superior strength to force himself on a woman?” Lockman said. “At least the rapist’s pursuit of sexual freedom doesn’t (in most cases) result in anyone’s death.”*

*A new defintion of liberty and freedom! He really does respect 'the rapist’s pursuit of sexual freedom,' no?

And his statement, "why shouldn’t a man be free to use his superior strength to force himself on a woman?” sounds like the voice of experience to me!

'Liberal bloggers' should make sure this goon in Virginia 'regrets' this...

I think you're right about this. I'm getting so tired of all the hand-wringing declarations that there will be a rethug takeover in November. This nomination has "Christine O'Donnell/Sharon Angle" written all over it. I think this is an opportune time to pick up a seat in the House. Unless of course, the Dems decide to run away from their successes, especially Obamacare.

Look at Louis Gohlmert from TX. He gets plenty of "prime time" and is a national embarrassment. We are in deep doo-doo. It's like the only way to defuse these idiots is to have a Republican White guy as President...the underlying reason for their rabidness must be racism because I can hardly believe they saw the light and were actually fed up with guys like Bush. I know Bush lost a lot of conservative support due to do many blunders and crimes but that usually wears off by now. I must admit that some of the posters were probably correct on another thread...it's RW Talk Radio. People are such sheep. Why can't LW Talk Radio have that success? I'm glad Cantor is gone because he was smarter, sneakier and preferred by corporate weasels. But things could get scarier. Reversing Gerrymandering should be our #1 priority if we want to get things done.

Cantor was the representative of Western Henrico county. The money came from tobacco (Universal Corp.) as it was with Bliley who picked Cantor from his staff.

Henrico county has flipped completely from W at 54% to Obama in '08 and '12 at 54%. Western Henrico was a stronghold for Repubs but it isn't anymore (3rd buyers of homes and apartments). Eastern Henrico has exploded since I moved here 20 years ago. Black middle class.

The 7th reaches down along the old plantations to the east but stops short of Williamsburg (William & Mary - educated types) and to the west it stops short "cups" around Charlottesville (UVa - educated types) reaches down into Chesterfield (RED) and the masses in the hinterland (Fox News believers) to the west make up the rest.

On the Kaine campaign we hit one specific cross road hard and it paid off.

I lived in the NOVA blue bubble and didn't pay much attention to parts south. What do you think of this comment from the WaPo?

Just a Sunday drive in the country north of Richmond will verify the look of this map: every other yard is festooned with an angry yellow Tea Party banners. But so far there is too little discussion, much less any journalistic reporting, about the sizeable, indeed affluent, immigrant community in Henrico County, in particular Indian and Hispanic populations clustered around Richmond. It would be a mistake to assume that they are not sufficiently positioned within the business community to tip the November election. When Larry Sabato remarked last night on MSNBC that Cantor had stepped on toes, he was insinuating, I believe, Hispanic and Indian consituents that used to belong to Eric Cantor. If the Democratic machine gets behind Brat's challenger, allows this unknown socioligist to stump for and on the hard questions -- 1) immigration reform; 2) gun control; 3) and student loan reform, -- Cantor's former immigrant followers may come crawling out of the workwork to vote Brat down and put a Democrat in Cantor's seat. The thing is wide open right now. I wish someone at the Post would widen the reporting by talking with CASA, who booed Cantor at his press conferences, and get a sense of their numbers and the outreach potential of this grass roots organization; and talk as well with the Hispanic continuency at the Richmond Chamber of Commerce. Let's walk around the elephant and consider the whole beast before we make conclusions about Brat's upset by looking up the elephant's nose.

Yes there is a significant Indian population here. There is an entire condo community (most health professionals I am told) near the new fancy mall that is ALL Indian/Pakistani. They have pick up cricket games at the school where my daughter used to have soccer practice. There is an array of food stores specifically for/by them too. There is even a Himalayan store in the area.

The Shawnee called government and tribal representatives like Cantor and this David Brat, "Bad Birds." Blotting out his past, is straight out of the Karl Rove/Dick Armey playbooks. If people had known the truth about Dumbya he couldn't even have been elected deputy dog catcher.
