Leamond Pierce

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) Delaware officials have ordered a man convicted in a 2011 two-vehicle crash that killed a 2-year-old Nebraska boy back to prison for at least five years for violating his parole in a slaying in 1981.

The Delaware Board of Parole revoked 54-year-old Leamond Pierce's parole Tuesday. The board says he can reapply for parole in five years.

Pierce, a truck driver, was convicted of misdemeanor vehicular homicide in February in the death of Aidan Curry of Bellevue, Nebraska. Pierce was sentenced to 300 days in prison and returned to custody in Delaware in March.

He was sentenced to life in 1982 after pleading guilty to second-degree murder for the execution-style slaying of 30-year-old James Alfred Poon. Pierce was first granted parole in 1995.
