The jury system has become a joke, rife with people whose heads are ready to explode because they don't understand sarcasm or even allusions. I had a post which was admittedly off-color, but meant ever-so-obviously as sarcasm.

Some of the jurors knew that and were on the fence, but I had one juror frothing at the mouth because I had said, "maybe (...) will set him straight." Apparently that doesn't mean correcting someone, but actually means I'm a raving, homophobic lunatic. This loving juror also told me, "GET OFF THIS SITE!!!" Really?

This is the second time some juror has absolutely chastised me like he/she was the supreme lord of all that's morally acceptable. Both incidents were within the last month, and coincidentally, the first two times I've had a post hidden in over a decAde and 3,500+ posts. If that's the way many of the members of this site are headed, perhaps it is a good idea to GET OFF THIS SITE!!!

This place has done nothing but make me laugh since that moment- almost ten years ago.

I guess I need to learn to let ridiculousness like that roll off my back. I think I'm OK with it now
