When you guys call a congressman or senator in DC,

do you get the option to either "leave a message" or "if you need to speak to the senator's staff, press 2"?

Which do you most often choose?

a live person answering, and not a recording with options. Maybe it's the time of day or the office is closed for the day? All lines busy maybe?

I wanted to let McCain know how I feel about his comments on the floor today and wasn't prepared for recorded options.
