Note To Brat Free Markets Are Not Calvinist

I was hesitant to post this here. I posted it in the religion section, but no one post there so nobody will read it. So I will be removing that thread. The purpose of this thread is not to get a debate going between denominations of Christians or atheist, but to simply prove that the doctrine that Dave Brat claims to believe is incompatible with libertarian Ayn Rand style economics. The article below refutes the claim that free market capitalism and Calvinism go hand in hand.

Well, I say "Teapublicans" but it's actually been the dominant faith on the right for about thirty years. It melds Old Testament style judgementalism and wrath, Rand-style selfishness and disregard for others, a sociopathic hatred of the less fortunate and lip service (but ONLY lip service) to Jesus. Unlike most faiths, which are drawn into politics by a particular issue, Republianity exists directly because of politics. It exists to provide a pseudo-pious excuse for everything wrong with the world.
