Fox News and ALL the freaky media who pushed Fox lies owe Bergdahl and family grovelling apologies.

Last edited Sat Jun 14, 2014, 08:07 PM - Edit history (2)

Two years in a steel box, 5 years total in prehistoric confinement, passed through several groups of captors at how many different locations, barely able to withstand the light of day.....the freaky fockers need to get down on their lying lie stained knees and kiss the feet of this family they purposely and/or negligently tried to destroy. And for what? Why? To keep up with the latest news cycle outrage, is that what they have rotted away to? That is the American media, the guardians of American democracy?

Screw them all, screw all the freckling media, they deserve the highest derision we can all heap on them. Pile it high on top of their mounting heap of crap atop Bullshit Mountain.

Again, what freaking part of innocent until proven guilty, innocent before charges are even laid, America leaves no soldier behind, the American tradition of rescue over abandonment, what freaking part of any of that do the media traitors not understand?

Desertion by a soldier? How about desertion by an entire national media? You both stand accused.
Shall we move to punishment before the trial?

edit: this deserves a kick - http://www.democraticunderground.com/10025097506

edit 2: "American Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, while held prisoner in Afghanistan, was locked in solitary confinement for two straight years and did not see another human face for that entire time, senior military sources with knowledge of his "reintegration process" told Fox News.

Officials said Bergdahl, during that period, only talked to his captors through the wall of a six-foot-by-six-foot metal box, in which he was kept.

The box was just big enough for him to stand up straight and stretch his arms. If he was ever taken out of the box, Bergdahl was apparently hooded. Bergdahl told officials that this treatment started immediately after he attempted to escape captivity."

Keep it up, freaky Fox, the next metal box is for you.

Edit 3: Fox News Must Die

http://crooksandliars.com/2014/06/fox-news-must-die

"There is one reason this country is stuck in an endless loop of obstruction and hate, and that reason is Fox News. If the results of this survey doesn't prove that, have a look at others with similar outcomes.

Fox News must die. It must either die with Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdoch, or it must die from a lack of current viewers. But however it happens, it must die, because if it doesn't, it will destroy the shreds of American democracy that remain. It's not enough for us to keep shouting about them, or Media Matters to point out how wrong they are on so many levels. Their death must be the result of visceral rejection.

I don't know how to do it yet, but I guarantee you I'm going to give it a lot of thought. We can't afford the stupidity that comes with their echo chamber."

McCain was nicknamed Songbird by fellow POW's for cooperating with the enemy. He was given a heros welcome and had his military records sealed. Oh, well, his father and grandfather both were high ranking military members. Bergdahl is just cannon fodder in the eyes of the war mongers. How many young people see how this young man is treated, then decide military life is not for them?

Good to have you with us! I would say your observation is extremely valuable - how many young people will see how this young man is treated - and then decide against serving their country. And what if this motivates them negatively on ANY kind of service - even something like the Peace Corps. A whole lotta cynicism is what this will gain for us.

Just frickin' great.

The military investigation determines Bergdahl walked away and the circumstance designates desertion, the fact remains, this young man still served his country. He signed up, deployed and with his fellow soldiers, faced enemy fire, risking his life daily. That deserves some credit, our respect and gratitude. It is far more than the loud mouth cowards that verbally eviscerate him in the media, yet defend Bush who was suspected of going AWOL. These people have no right to judge Bergdahl. They should be condemned for it.

For months until the morning the Twin Towers were hit, it was Condit -- not bin Laden -- who was the most despised man in America. Especially on cable news, where Condit was linked week after week to murder, with no end to speculation about how he'd caused the tragedy. Perhaps Levy died during rough sex with the congressman. Or her death was connected to Condit's ex-con brother. Or Condit's buddies in a motorcycle gang. Or because Levy was pregnant with Condit's baby.

AND HE WAS INNOCENT!!!! He totally had nothing to do with Chandra Levy's disappearance and/or death. As I recall, another suspect was eventually linked to it and found, and he was proven not to have been involved. But the media had already accused, prosecuted, judged, and at least professionally executed him. NONE of the accusers ever apologized OR even acknowledged this grievous error. They totally ruined this man. Went after him with the kind of viciousness and bloodthirstiness that people like bush/cheney/rummy/condi/wolfie deserve. Or kkkarl rove. THEY escape unscathed. Guys like Gary Condit get screwed and skinned alive. For no reason other than he was a Dem. A dead intern turned up in joe scarborough's OFFICE - WHILE he, too, was a Congressman. And NOTHING happened to him. NOBODY said "peep" about it. EVER. As far as I recall, nothing was ever followed up, no guilty party was ever discovered or even pointed towards. I never heard what happened about that. And it wasn't like I was living in some hole that entire time, but I was active on here, the entire time. I suspect I never heard anything because there was never anything to hear about.

Glad you're here! That'd be something we could do, I believe. Complain to your cable company and ask that Pox Noise be deleted from your cable package. Even if that can't be done, at least your complaint is registered. I ALWAYS take note of what's on the TV monitor wherever I'm shopping. Or at my bank. Or anywhere. When it's Pox, I either complain or try to find the channel changer. And when I see they have either CNN or sometimes even MSNBC on there, or some mindless local Chatty-Cathy morning show on, I comment on that, too - thank them for it. Tell 'em I like it. Tell 'em I appreciate that it's NOT Pox Noise. The merchants and business owners and proprietors need that information, too. It's market research for them. Because any of 'em who are worth their salt know that the customer and the customer's needs and preferences are what it's all about.

Sat Jun 14, 2014, 05:17 PM
Jun 2014

If you're gonna try to ram Pox Noise down your customers' throats who don't agree and don't want that, then prepare to lose customers! It's that simple. There needs to be a price tag attached to that force-feeding of poison. It will COST you to do that. This is a message we need to start sending in earnest. Those restaurants that were the venues for all those wannabe storm-troopers with their guns and ammo draped all over themselves and their massacre machines in plain sight, THEY had to step in and say don't bring your guns in here - BECAUSE other customers complained, and voted with their feet. I myself would not only NOT stay and have a meal there, I would tell the management WHY I am leaving and not coming back until/unless the gun goons are banished. It will cost them customers. It will hit them in the pocketbook. That's why 3000+ advertisers scurried away from limbaugh's show. Because they started realizing there was a price to pay for being associated with him and his poisonous public blather.

There needs to be a cost for this. A price to pay. CONSEQUENCES for this. For doing it, for spreading it, for saying it, for printing it, for passing it around, for pushing it on the public. Hey, the polls are with US. A majority of Americans does NOT want guns shoved in their faces when they shop or go to some fast food joint to have a quickie meal with or without their kids. A majority of Americans does NOT want to get back involved in Iraq. A majority of Americans does NOT want to relieve a woman of her right to choose. A majority of Americans does NOT want unregulated gun ownership. A majority of Americans does NOT support the corporations or believe they have ANY rights of personhood. And for that matter, a majority of Americans VOTES DEMOCRATIC. A MILLION more votes for Democrats were cast in the last election. But the bad guys - and that's what I repeatedly and relentlessly call them (because they ARE very much indeed BAD GUYS) - basically cheated. Rigged the game and gerrymandered the districts to give themselves an edge, nullify the will of the majority, and get their way ANYWAY.

So far there's been no really painful price to pay. So I guess we have to start small and go for little prices to pay. If not a pound of flesh, what else COULD we get? We need to start thinking that way. And we need to start ACTING that way. Go on offense for a change. Make them pay. Make it cost them to do this and act this way. Make them have to pay and pay and pay and pay and pay some more, until some of 'em at least might get some message. Or at least shut up and crawl back under their rocks for awhile so the rest of us can fix what they've intentionally and recklessly and even proudly broken.

THEY often call it "creative destruction." OKAY then. Game on. Let's practice some of that, too. ON THEM.

THEY somehow think THEY were sent by God (heck, the dude who just drove eric cantor out of power said EXACTLY that). So God is on THEIR side, okay? They see no need to change, or appeal with ideas. The ideas they have now are good enough. So their strategy is to try to push the pendulum and turn time back and take us further and farther to the so-called "right" (that's anything BUT!). You'd think somebody in CON/GOP circles would finally wake up and realize that the country is changing, the younger demos are leading that change, and nobody wants to go back to the way the CON/GOP says things should be. Marriage equality is a great example here - although I do find myself wondering how long it'll be before the bad guys start trying to push things back the other way on THIS issue too. They sure went about it systematically with the right to choose! If there's enough of 'em still believing marriage equality is a bad thing, then they WILL survive to fight another day, and try to take THAT right away, too. Just as they now have Roe v Wade on the ropes. They'll do it any-way and any-where and any-how and any-what and any-when they can. States or federally. Through the courts or starting at the school board level. THEY WILL BE BACK! For this right we're all just winning. The gay community should be warned, and prepared. They won't accept this as "settled law" (that's one of their favorite phrases these days). They won't be content to live and let live. They WILL be back. And if they can't figure out one way to roll back that right, and chip it away or change it or flat-out take it away from us, they'll find another approach.

They don't give up. They never concede defeat. They're guaranteed to come back and try to fuck things up AGAIN, especially if they think we got complacent, figured the battle was won, and went back to sleep. Which OUR side tends to do on a regular basis. What the hell is the matter with OUR side, anyway?????? This always seems to be a lesson we're incapable of learning, dammit!

But notice how that side NEVER considers changing or moderating their views to win more votes. NO WAY! They expect America to change - to conform to THEM. How many times have we heard the soundbites from the pundits and the party leaders about it being HOW THEY SPEAK TO PEOPLE - to women, to minorities. It's not their policies they want to change to adapt to changing and leftward-leaning times. They think all they have to do is message it correctly and they'll still get their way with their same stale increasingly irrelevant and reactionary policies that haven't been winning for them nationally for years now. They don't see a need to change, and they won't compromise, either. They want it THEIR way or else. I really hope I'm wrong about marriage equality. But I kinda doubt it, knowing who and what we're dealing with. Be ready for it. They'll be back, and itching to do whatever it takes to roll back those newly-won rights, and take them away from you/us.

Zealots are single purposed driven and can not be deter by reasoning or logic. They are without a conscience and are able to justify any action regardless of its viciousness in order to destroy their opponents. Cheney is a prime example. He could justify lying and torture to achieve his goal to invade Iraq and is without a iota of compassion for those he is responsible for murdering and maiming for life. They are ruthless and will devour you. The conservative propagandists are little better who justify the sadistic zealots in achieving their goals of compete subjugation.

Don't just walk out in protest. LET THEM KNOW WHY. Ask to speak to the manager. And tell him or her why you're walking out and what the offense is that's making you leave without buying anything. The connectivity is CRITICALLY important! Imagine if businesses everywhere get it through their heads that Pox Noise and other poison = no business. Loss of clientele. No merchandise moving. No sales. Imagine what an effective motivation THAT would be if it were widespread. Turn it on Pox Noise and be ready to close your doors! Your customers driven away. No money coming in. No sales. Poison for business. You'll have TV monitors in shops and offices and waiting rooms everywhere switching - rapidly. I see more channels these days that are tuned either to CNN or CNBC or ESPN or Judge Judy or some cooking shows or the Weather Channel or some nonpartisan or non-offensive channel or mindless happy-talk local programming. Count that as a win. As long as Pox Noise is NOT allowed to proliferate, it's a win. ANYWHERE that businesses are encouraged NOT to keep their TV monitors tuned to that poison, it's a win. Anything that denies them free eyeballs, or free captive audiences like in waiting rooms or some such. ANYTHING but Pox.

And don't be afraid to complain! These days, it's quite likely that somebody else already has, before you, and you'll only be strengthening the case for it and reinforcing that complaint.

our country from a discussion that we need, that is a discussion about torture.

Torture is immoral and illegal.

It's wrong. The Bush administration tortured prisoners and those who authorized the torture should answer for it. I don't know how they can, but they should at least admit they were wrong.

fox couldn't survive without the unchallenged groundwork repetition only rw radio can do

it's much harder to lie on TV on a mass scale and get away with it.

within the MSM limits there are plenty of political alts on TV (and print) - change the channel/page- but in most parts of the US there are no free radio alts for politics while driving or working

the radio hosts are protected by call screeners and never have to provide alternative view while fox has to pretend to be fair.

analysts and commentators from the left observe fox and can respond/correct/criticize. very little of that happens for talk radio and they can get away with a lot not possible on fox. when the radio blowhards are told to swiftboat someone they don't have to pull their punches and they can repeat and repeat without worrying about being repetitious.

the rw radio monopoly can be coordinated nationally and locally. fox TV does not have that kind of local control.

if you want to fix this democracy start with rw radio.

Alex Jones is worse than someone who yells "Fire" in a theater. And that is not protected under the First Amendment.

Eventually I think all the talking heads on FNC will need major psychological/psychiatric treatment.

And the presiding judge found that there was no law against lying during the "news".
