Great shot of hail shafts coming down in Colorado storm:

Hail shafts with beautiful green core on June 5, 2014 by Punkin Center, CO.

Green means hail. The ice refracts light at a different angle than water and you see a green shade so it's not a good sign.

though I've lived here a long time. Wiki says 30 miles east of Colorado Springs. Great picture!

And thanks for the info. Had no idea green means hail.....around here, panoramic views of approaching storms are not possible,
