No NATO Bases in Czech Republic and Slovakia

nsnbc : The Prime Ministers of both Czech Republic and Slovakia rejected to host NATO bases and
foreign troops in their countries, rejecting proposals voiced by U.S. President Barack Obama. The rejection
comes against the backdrop of core NATO members involvement in the engineering of the coup and crisis
in Ukraine.

Following the Czech Prime Minister’s rejection of proposed NATO bases in his country, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico followed suit, rejecting the Slovakia is ready to meet its obligation as NATO member to host NATO bases or to have foreign troops stationed in the country.

On Tuesday Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka said that the Czech Republic sees no need to allow a foreign military presence on Czech territory.

The two Prime Minister’s statements came in response to U.S. President Obama’s proposals of NATO bases and troops in the two central European countries during a news conference in the Polish capital Warsaw, which Obama visited as part of his recent European tour.

Obama’s proposal and the the countries rejection comes against the backdrop of Poland’s request for a greater U.S. military presence within the context of the U.S. engineered coup, crisis and subsequent civil war in Ukraine.

Having NATO troops in Slovakia and the Czech Republic plays directly into ancient(and historically justified) Russian fears of another western military invasion and gives Putin the material he needs to keep Russian public support for his klepto-party high by fanning the flames of that paranoia.

The best way to be anti-Putin is to stop making the Russian people think we're out to get THEM.

Learn from history, already.
