Some responded with anger at the U.S. embassy in Tel Aviv flying a Pride flag below the stars and stripes. The decision by Daniel Shapiro, the American ambassador to Israel, to fly a rainbow flag at the embassy in Tel Aviv received very mixed reviews.
The embassy displayed a picture of the flags on their Facebook page, with Shapiro writing, For the first time in history, the US Embassy in Tel Aviv has raised the Pride flag together with our American flag. We are proud to join with the municipality of Tel Aviv-Yafo and its residents in celebrating LGBT Pride Week.
Unsurprisingly, many took offense: This is inappropriate, shameful, and embarrassing. Assuredly, this is not the voice of Americans but rather that of a disgraceful administration, one commenter wrote."This flag being hoisted next to the American flag is inappropriate. How is this 'gay pride flag' representative of all Americans? The answer is, it is not! This flag needs to come down," another wrote.
Many defended the embassy's support: "The Pride flag represents Freedom and Equality for all people not just whites and christians."

REASON FOR ALERT
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
ALERTER'S COMMENTS
This is not appropriate for DU; the flag should be flown and I also object to those who dislike it, but when we start throwing around "Fuck You," it actually weakens our position and you drag us down to their level.
Nevertheless, this post is inappropriate for GD.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sun Jun 15, 2014, 08:27 AM, and the Jury voted 0-7 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I think the person who alerted is confused. The objection here is to whoever objected to the gay pride
flag. On DU we all support the flag flying with our US flag.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I object to the alert on this. If you will pay attention he say "Fuck you." to some responded with anger at the U.S. embassy in Tel Aviv flying a Pride flag. I think telling 'Some" "Fuck you." is an appropriate sentiment. In my Opinion the term "Fuck you." is at times very appropriate for GD. Skinner in his infinite wisdom has given to us a few features, one of then enables you to type in those very words that offend you and presto!!! You will no longer see any post containing those words. It's a fucking shame people will alert over words.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Comment is satirically addressed to the anonymous "some" in the article, not any DUer. Alerter is overreacting, presumably just to the language.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Frivolous alert. The comment is a comment on a discussion board, it's not going to matter one iota to the situation, and the poster has every right to say it.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I join Iggo in wishing a hearty FUCK YOU to homophobes.
Silliest alert ever.
Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.
Thanks for the heads-up.

it connotes an interactive proposition.
I think "Go Fuck Yourselves" is the more appropriate response.
