It's certainly a trenchant statement, and I totally agree with it, but I'd like to know if it comes from a public figure, whose words might carry more weight in the world beyond a random forum post.

I just found the quotation marks confusing, since - strictly speaking - they are used when quoting another person. So, being an English major and unrepentant grammar nazi, I wondered who you were quoting.

Now, I can happily quote YOU as saying it!
