Johnston’s Facebook comment in full was: “For almost three generations people, in some cases, have been given handouts. They have been ‘enabled’ so much that their paradigm in life is simply being given the stuff of life, however meager. What you see is a setting for a life of misery is life to them never-the-less. No one has the guts to just let them wither and die. No one who wants votes is willing to call a spade a spade. As long as the Dems can get their votes the enabling will continue. The Republicans need their votes and dare not cut the fiscal tether. It is really a political Catch-22. The voters are the ones in charge. however when only 10-11 percent show up to vote, not much will change. People simply are not hurting enough, or simply happy enough that they will do nothing. consequently the dole continues.”

I think Johnston ought to be confined for life as retribution for what he did to logic and reasoning here.

You can't cut welfare to the poor because of their votes, but they don't bother to vote.

Oh, yeah, "Spade." Any hidden significance there?

And you have to feed the torture victims lemon chicken afterwards.

I'm sure he didn't mean to say "Spade" as a racial insult. He meant to say "urban poor," or "unemployed city dwellers," or "welfare recipients."

31. Clearly, the wealthiest among us are severely damaged morally by excessive profits

The Rich are being systematically destroyed as a moral force in America,
by excessive profit$ which come to them with little effort.

This is a recipe for moral collapse, and must be remedied.

This dwarfs issues like the deficit, Russia, Iraq and the middle east, the elections,
and even twerking and Justin Bieber, in importance to our society.

Let's
save the rich from themselves!

Tax the top 1% at 50-60%, effective immediately.

End offshore tax shelters.

Pass a lifetime ban on gov't officials becoming lobbyists or employees for any company
in the field they regulated as a gov't employee.

Bring back local banks and limit banking speculation by re-instating TOUGH
Glass-Steagall-type restrictions on banking.

This way, The Rich will survive.

Otherwise,
we just don't know what would happen.

Poster said they didn't know whether to laugh or cry at cartoons like this, that they are more real than the media.

Before I read it I half expected a few of them to be stretching truth a little for the sake of making a point. But its sadly amazing that each an every one of them is an actual part of the new reality of the bagger GOP party.
