With the defeat of Eric Cantor, 100% of Congressional Republicans are Christian and all are white...

...except one who was appointed...

Bill Maher and his guests dissected the Cantor defeat in the Virginia Republican primary, touching on a few hot topics. First, Maher relished the irony that the Tea Party that Cantor helped create, ultimately was the cause of his demise, or as guest Richard Clarke former National Coordinator for Security, Infrastructure Protection, and Counter-terrorism for the United States said “this is Frankenstein’s monster”.

Then Maher dropped an amazing statistic. Now that Cantor has been defeated, of 278 seats, 100% of the House Republicans are Christian and even more amazing, with the exception of one black congressman, 100% are white. Maher then summarized a recent Pew poll that was indicative of the polarized environment that led to Cantor’s defeat. Self-segregation is part of the cultural divide between conservatives and liberals. 57% of conservatives want to “live near someone that shares my religious beliefs”
