Let's put a few things into perspective regarding candidates and the Bible/Christianity

Romney lost Hispanic voters to Obama by a lopsided margin of 71 to 27 percent.

The Pew Research Center’s 2013 National Survey of Latinos and Religion finds that a majority (55%) of the nation’s estimated 35.4 million Latino adults – or about 19.6 million Latinos – identify as Catholic today. About 22% are Protestant (including 16% who describe themselves as born-again or evangelical) and 18% are religiously unaffiliated.

According to CNN exit polls, 93% of African-Americans voted for Obama over Romney.

Eight-in-ten African-Americans (79%) say religion is very important in their lives, compared with 56% among all U.S. adults. In fact, even a large majority (72%) of African-Americans who are unaffiliated with any particular faith say religion plays at least a somewhat important role in their lives; nearly half (45%) of unaffiliated African-Americans say religion is very important in their lives, roughly three times the percentage who says this among the religiously unaffiliated population overall.

Now, I'm not religious but apparently I'm not a 'holier than thou' smart ass progressive, either. A VERY LARGE percentage of Hispanic and African Americans say religion is important to them. You disrespect people's faith at your own electoral peril.

1. Let's get a few things straight about "The Family".

It is a secretive organization that is a threat to our secular republic. This is not about denying anyone their right to worship as they choose, it is about the Establishment Clause of our Constitution. The National Prayer Breakfast has become a quasi-official event. Membership in this organization has become a path to a leadership role in our national government.

And good luck getting the electorate to buy into this shadowy organization business.

This secret shadowy organization business was added in when some realized how stupid their poutrage was. It's always easy to fall back on conspiracies when so many people here are prone to believe them.

it's not a "secret shadowy organization," it's a very open network of politicians, ministers, lobbyists, and fundraisers who make no bones about what they want and what they're doing.

Many of those religious people, especially PoC, know the difference between generic Christianity, and Dominionism. Why, you may ask?

Dominionists like The Family mean to crush minority rights via the majority. Does that sound like something that those voters you cited would be ok with? Those voters might want to know about this Family background. It might just be a deal breaker for many of them.

If that matters.

But they need not be surprised when she fails. People who know about the Dominionists and know about this connection of hers, won't vote for her. Especially religious folks in-the-know, especially PoC.

Embarrassingly so

All this religious pandering to squeak out votes from a politically dead ideology, when all you have to do - as Obama proved - is campaign toward the working classes as a NeoFDR
