Gunman kills 2 people during high school reunion at East Peoria, Ill., bar

EAST PEORIA, Ill. • Authorities in East Peoria say three people are dead after a gunman shot two people at an East Peoria sports bar before he was shot and killed by an off-duty FBI agent.

The (Peoria) Journal Star reports that the gunman walked into The Fifth Quarter bar Saturday night and shot two people who were attending a high school reunion before he was shot and killed by the officer.

The gunman's victims were 33-year-old Lori A. Moore, 33, of Morton and a Lance E. Griffel, 36, of Peoria. Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll says both were shot in the head.

Police did not immediately identify the gunman, and would not identify the off-duty agent. But the Journal Star said the man who killed the gunman worked for the FBI.
