Pat Robertson unloads on Bush for latest Iraq crisis: ‘We were sold a bill of goods!’
By David Edwards

Televangelist Pat Robertson on Monday blasted former President George W. Bush for selling Americans a “bill of goods” before the Iraq invasion, which led to the violence that is currently sweeping across the country.

During his Monday broadcast, a viewer asked Robertson if there was a solution to the ongoing violence caused by an al Qaeda splinter group, ISIS, threatening to take over Iraq.

“Right now, what we did — and it was a great mistake to go in there,” Robertson explained, pointing out that Saddam Hussein’s “bomb maker” had said that the then-dictator “doesn’t know how to make an atomic bomb.”

“And so to sell the American people on weapons of mass destruction, he had WMD and was getting [concentrated uranium] yellowcake out of Africa and all of that, it was a lot of nonsense,” the TV preacher said. “We were sold a bill of goods, we should never have gone into that country!”

“As bad as Saddam Hussein was, he held those warring factions in check, and he contained those radical Islamists,” he continued. “Fix it, no? It’s too late to fix it. It’s unfixable. Those simmering animosities have been there for centuries.”

I can't remember who this self-proclaimed nutcase is but I do know that he tries to make an honest living by sucking dollars out of vulnerable, ignorant people. Most of these people are also the ones who'll buy into whatever channel their T.V. set is tuned into (and it ain't PBS.)

This, and other bibble-humping nutcases, won't alienate their stupid flock for such an unimportant issue. I can see them doing some contortions when they're found out doing sex acts with weird people/animals/objects, however.

Anyone, and there were so many, who really thought that war with Iraq was a reasonable idea must now realize that they have a bad sense of reality and very poor judgment. They must open themselves to investigate what the same people are saying now and remember that all the many reasons given were buck and war is not an answer. It is the losing response.

I had a young lawyer tell me, that at least it would be good for the economy. OMG! I was sickened and I told them that they better check their reasoning if they could support the death of innocent families and all the horrors of war to enjoy a little more money in their pockets.

It is a sad state when we let any politician suggest that we turn on others to enrich our bank accounts. They are all around us now preaching the same mantra. Spouting the same lies. Spreading the same fears.I see it. Why can't everyone?

were being called TRAITORS for trying to stop it!!

Too late, for all those who are now jumping ship AFTER the slaughter and the theft, the torture and the destruction of our country's reputation around the world.

However, this is an indication that PROSECUTIONS of the WAR CRIMINALS might not be all that unpopular after all, if rabid Bush/War supporters like Robertson are now claiming to be ANGRY at being DECEIVED.

Does dementia possibly hold a positive effect for some? Does it filter out earlier personal biases that distorted perceptions, and even provide momentary lucidity? If not, then Robertson has undergone a "conversion" of sorts. At any rate, this must be the first time that I have ever found myself agreeing with anything he has said.

Pat Robertson has been swindling for decades ethically honest religious people.

From my view it was easy to see that Pat Robertson is a flim flam man. Worse he uses the most physic art or skill of healing with religion, gift giving, asking for money to heal.

Now with surprise, in the same sense as Glenn Beck taking a turn against both Bush and Cheney in those wars so is Pat Robertson now makes the claim it was wrong.

This begs the question or begs a statement. “There is a disturbance in the force”.

The one big time person left to confess is Rush Limbaugh. If Rush turns on Bush and Cheney to say the war in Iraq was wrong something is really happening in the Republican GOP George Bush/ Cheney crime syndicate.

Rush is in the same category as Glenn Beck in that Limbaugh for decades ranted with sedition commentaries many times over and over. Now will likely rant with retribution and retaliation against Bush and Cheney, otherwise Limbaugh really likes hell
