"Vast Oceans of Water May be Trapped in Earth's Interior"

DAILY GALAXY
Discover Channel 3/16/2014

Researchers from Northwestern University and the University of New Mexico report evidence for potentially oceans worth of water deep beneath the United States. Though not in the familiar liquid form -- the ingredients for water are bound up in rock deep in the Earth’s mantle -- the discovery may represent the planet’s largest water reservoir.

Glad you found the link, this came up a few days ago without one.

Someday someone will figure out how to access it - 400 miles down - there goes the rest of the planet - some fracker on steroids with bigger truck and more chems

This is hydrogen and oxygen bound up in mineral form - hydroxides. It's not "water" any more than gypsum - a hydrate - is.

It's sort of like saying that cheeseburgers are diamonds because both are made of carbon.

Now big business can proceed to pollute and/or consume all the water they can get their hands on -- after all, there's this HUGE reserve a mere 400 miles under our feet and god will surely develop a safe, clean way to extract that lovely water. Conservation problem SOLVED!! Now, can we catch up on the Kardashians?
