LOOK AT ME!!: Seattle man arrested after bragging online about being ‘the next Elliot Rodger’

Seattle police said Keshav Mukund Bhide used his YouTube and Google+ accounts to defend Elliot Rodger, who killed six people and wounded 13 others before killing himself on May 23.

The suspect allegedly wrote online that Rodger’s “day of retribution” was “perfectly justified.”

“I am the next Elliot Rodger and guess what I’ll do the right thing this time,” Bhide allegedly wrote in one post. In another, he said the difference between himself and Rodger would be that he would “make sure I kill only women,” while identifying himself as a Seattle resident attending the university.

We need to start taking "threats" like this seriously. If they say they are gonna do it - assume they have the "courage" of their convictions to follow through on their threats.

I'd like msanthrope to weigh in - but I think his statements make it a threat of premeditated murder.

Obviously he wont get the mental help he needs since our system sucks in that regard. He'll get out of prison and be even more pissed off at the world.

If felony harassment is all they are charging him with, he wont be in for long.

Can any weapons be removed? Forced counseling?

This is not snark. State laws vary. What can Seattle police do?

Does he have a bunch of weapons at home? That would seem more relevant...
