Yesterday, MSNBC reported that the oil in Iraq is safe because the oil fields are in southern Iraq..

Today, hysteria over oil in Iraq.

So, which is it?

This and not actually showing any proof the Sunnis are executing police and truck drivers is making wonder what MSNBC is up to in this whole thing.

So if you suspect they bare false, blame their actual authors. Maybe someone hacked their accounts....

Oil in Iraq is centered in two places; in the south, around Basra, and in the north, around Mosul.

about gas prices going up due to the conflict in Iraq.

Today, they're saying the exact opposite. What happened overnight that changed this dynamic?

Perhaps someone from the oil company called them and asked them to scare up prices.

I have found 'never ascribe to malice what stupidity can explain' a sturdy analytical tool down the years.

For it to be a 'script', the actions of all parties would have to be directed from a central authority, and if you think U.S. agency is behind the i.S.I.L. outbreak, then....

going to seek out a source of news that doesn't make contradictory claims and crappy reporting.

EDIT: Forgot to add "Wish me luck, lol!"

they're shoving it up their butts trying to find their heads.

Thirty years ago, all news departments would have correspondents with death wishes on the ground there talking to people in the region and dodging bullets, trying to bring some sense to the stories. Now, their budgets have been slashed too far to get anybody plane tickets so they're waiting for press releases from the inside-the-beltway crowd to drop into their laps.

Thanks, guys, but I'll tune in to the BBC and Al Jazeera. I really don't give a shit what the insider crowd says, they're as clueless as you are.
