Dick Cheney: My Thoughts and Prayers Are with the Iraqi Oil Wells
JACKSON HOLE, WYOMINGFormer Vice-President Dick Cheney broke his silence about the crisis in Iraq on Tuesday, telling reporters, My thoughts and prayers are with the Iraqi oil wells.
Speaking from his Wyoming ranch, Cheney said that he had planned to remain quiet about the current state of affairs in Iraq, but thinking about those oil wells has kept me up at night.
If Dick Cheney wont speak for the Iraqi oil wells, who will? he said.
Cheney indicated that, as of now, there was no fighting near Iraqs oil wells, but warned, If the violence spreads, those wells could be in jeopardy. And its up to the international community to insure that that worst-case scenario doesnt happen.
The former Vice-President said that he expected to catch hell for inserting himself into the debate about Iraq, but was resolute in his decision to do so. If I prevent one drop of precious oil from being spilled, it will have been worth it, he said.

(16,286 posts)wait, this is not sarcasm ?
I was going to say his thoughts and prayers were with Halliburton profits, but is this actually REAL?

(16,254 posts)Where is he? Has he truly spoken his piece on Iraq? The Benghazi capture? How they won the war in Iraq and sowed the seeds of democracy?
If not Cheney, what about his spawn?
Mind you, I don't miss them, but I'd sure hate for them to miss a chance to brag about how well they did when THEY were in charge.
It wouldn't be because they are afraid the people might turn on them and insist they be arrested for war crimes...would it?
Perhaps he's traveling out of the country. Oh, right. He can't do that, can he? There are "furiners" just praying for the opportunity to make an arrest on their own ground. Bless their hearts, I hope they get it done. We sure don't seem to be able to pull it off.

(16,820 posts)Cheney would never say anything like this, of course -- at least not in public. I'll just bet he's thinking it, though. I'm sure he is.
