Dr. Oz isn't answering his phone, nor those operators who told me to call anytime if I had

questions or problems. Problems???? $54.95 worth of problems and you know I'll never see that money again. Why did I do it? Just goes to show no matter how smart and savvy you think you are regarding scams, some of us are vulnerable. I'm overweight, this "Coffee Extract Pill" seemed like a good thing. I'm embarrassed and really angry with myself...sigh..

That's all you can do. You most likely will think twice next time...don't beat yourself up over it, it's not worth it

Analyzing marketing and advertising is sort of a hobby for me.

Some time ago I heard the term "guerilla marketing".

Companies figure out off-beat ways to reach/manipulate potential customers who are impervious to other forms of marketing.

Somewhat related example, a friend of mine owned a music nightclub that because pretty well known for having upcoming, worthwhile Indy bands.

He and his partner were quietly bought out by a large corporation who wanted the revenue but wanted to maintain the small indy feel of the place.

Marketing and advertising are an actual science and there are people who know how to use symbols that speak to our subconscious.

At some point in our lives we will all succumb to marketing and probably not even realize it.

Yes indeed. It's tempting to think that one is protected from such marketing simply by being aware of it, but that's a dangerous over-estimation of one's faculties. I try to be conscious of marketing tactics, but rationally I know that I still succumb from time to time despite my best efforts.

it is a shame these people are allowed to dupe so many... it all just sounds so GOOD... and hey, the guy's an MD so it must be ok and might even work.

too bad we don't have jail time or serious fines for selling people shit that doesn't work...

I'm sure that they're coached by a team of lawyers so that their statements don't render them liable for fraud charges, but it's still a grossly unethical and unscrupulous exploitation of the desperate and the vulnerable.

The only good thing about them is they smell just like raspberries.......

I'm glad the senate grilled Dr. Oz. His license should be revoked.

Lovely smelling Raspberry Ketones eventually gave me heart palpitations in the middle of the night. Thanks Dr OZ, the great & powerful voice of every health scam he could through at a desperate audience. Thanks A Lot.

This pipe dream is one of the biggest markets in the US, been going on for decades and still no miracle cure. Yet people still keep hoping, and then blame the dreamweaver.
