questions or problems. Problems???? $54.95 worth of problems and you know I'll never see that money again. Why did I do it? Just goes to show no matter how smart and savvy you think you are regarding scams, some of us are vulnerable. I'm overweight, this "Coffee Extract Pill" seemed like a good thing. I'm embarrassed and really angry with myself...sigh..

(55,894 posts)Analyzing marketing and advertising is sort of a hobby for me.
Some time ago I heard the term "guerilla marketing".
Companies figure out off-beat ways to reach/manipulate potential customers who are impervious to other forms of marketing.
Somewhat related example, a friend of mine owned a music nightclub that because pretty well known for having upcoming, worthwhile Indy bands.
He and his partner were quietly bought out by a large corporation who wanted the revenue but wanted to maintain the small indy feel of the place.
Marketing and advertising are an actual science and there are people who know how to use symbols that speak to our subconscious.
At some point in our lives we will all succumb to marketing and probably not even realize it.
